Travelled from Toronto a day early in case of bad weather and stayed near the beach in San Juan. We stayed at the Sandy Beach Hotel which was small and surrounded by larger hotels. While it is old and a little run down, it was at least clean and devoid of any bugs. Spent a little time on the San Juan beach in the morning before leaving for the ship.
We took a $20.00(US) cab ride, we arrived at the ship at noon on departure day and within 15 minutes of arriving dockside by cab we were on board. We spent some time exploring the ship, having a quick lunch and getting a early dip in the Solarium pool. The Solarium pool was our home away from home for the week. Very comfortable and always able to get a lounge chair. Nice décor.
Our cabin was ready as advertised at 1pm. Initially my wife and I thought the cabin was pretty small, however by the time were unpacked and stowed everything away, it looked bigger. We had a balcony which was very nice and offered privacy. I would recommend cabin 7046 anytime.
This cabin offered a great deal of privacy. Because we were the first cabin that extended further out, the cabin on the left was totally blocked, the cabin on the right would only see in if they stood at rail next to us. We had great sight lines. Being on the Port side, for some ports we were looking at the dock and others we were able to see the harbor.
