Sail Date: Sep 2014

In celebration of the recent retirement of several members of our extended family, we (6 couples) decided to take a river cruise across Europe.Starting in Amsterdam, and sailing all the way to Budapest, we had a most memorable experience. The ship, and the city-stops, were big enough that we could get out on our own when we needed to and yet the ship was small and perfect for when the "family" wanted to be together. While the initial cost was quite a bit to fork over in advance, almost everything was included, such that , other than gratuities for th crew, there was almost nothing to pay for at the end.

There was an included tour in every city/port (and we stopped at least once each day) that we stopped at, and with rare exceptions, the included tour was more than adequate. We wanted to travel the "Romantic Road", so we paid extra for that, and we paid for a special tour in Nuremburg. They were both worth the extra price paid.

Meals were excellent. every dinner included 3 new entre selections and 3 other staples so that there was something for everyone. There were also at least 3 appetizers and 3 desert options.

Cabin Review

Cabin was more than adequate and comfortable.
