Sailed on the Carnival Liberty for the second time in 2014,was disappointed the first time but decided to give them a second chance since the excuse on the first was they had a new crew. We arrived and boarded the ship with no problems being VIP. on getting to our cabin we found the bedside table behind the curtain and the bed up against the window which made it impossible for my wife to get into our bed without climbing over since there was no room steward in sight I went to guest services and they sent someone up from housekeeping. The young lady told us the problem would be fixed , five hours later I found our room steward and got the problem fixed or so I thought !All week long the bed was made so badly that we had to remake it ourselves and I promise it is not because we are hard to please.During the week we found buffet food that was cold and sometimes spoiled we also had food in the dining room that was served quickly but was cold.My wife became ill after eating in the dining room one of these nights Smoking is no longer allowed on balconies so they put smokers outside on decks 3 and 10 where the the wind blows 40mph which confuses me since they give talks about concerns of fire blowing back into the ship [On deck 10 they put smokers by the air intake vents].

My mother-in-law needs wheelchair assistance on checking with guest services they were told on the last day to wait in the Persian card room .When I double checked being that they are on in years I was told no that was for diamond VIPs only, that they should wait in the Venetian theater twice then on my third trip was told no it was the Golden Olympian restaurant .

We never received our pins for the Liberty showing the year of our trip [They said they ran out but would mail them to us on request]. Read more
