Our ship was changed from the Baldur to the Magni due to low water. The crew was magnificent, the food was exemplary, and the tours we were able to accomplish were great. Our biggest issue was the ongoing mechanical difficulties that resulted in a cancelled shore excursion, extra busing, offsite dining due to loss of electrical power. We missed part of the castles while cruising and the Lorelei rock. We also rejoined our ship at some unscheduled docking locations. Our final day ended at 3:00 in the morning. This was a very short 15th day.

The crew was very helpful, extremely courteous, and tried to make amends for the ongoing mechanical issues.

This was our first cruise with Viking. We were expecting a perfect trip because of the new ships, but were a little disappointed.

Cabin Review

Cabin French Balcony

The room was comfortable, but a little small. Wi-fi in the room was non-existent, but was available in the lounge. There was very little drawer space for putting away clothing. I would suggest upgrading to a veranda, which has more room and more drawers for clothes.
