Pre cruise trip to Lucerne planned by Viking. We were well cared for while there. Met at airport, transported to hotel, side trips available all very well coordinated by Viking. After 3 days transported to Basel to met Viking Tor. Boarded ship, luggage taken to room by Viking, then on to first of many wonderful dinners. Program director lead informative greet and meet to let us know plans for our trip down the Rhine. He also introduced the crew. Each day was filled with side trips, delicious meals, smiling and friendly crew and evening entertainment. The rooms were comfortable, clean and well kept. The crew and schedule were very well coordinated, informative and our days were run like a well-oiled machine. It was a sad day when we knew our cruise was over and we had to fly home from Amsterdam. I would not hesitate for a second to plan another Viking cruise. So very enjoyable and relaxing.
