Very disappointed in the Celebrity Summit experience. They promise 'modern luxury' and delivered something very average instead.
Some of the crew were great. Some of the crew were woefully under-trained like the bar waiter who didn't know what a martini was or what brands were available to them or the guy at the guest relations desk who clearly hadn't been on the boat more than one or two cruises (seriously - shouldn't you have your most experienced and knowledgeable crew there to interact with your guests ?). Some of the crew were flat out grumpy and inflexible (aren't you in the hospitality/ guest SERVICE industry ?)
There were few activities on board... trivia games that were essentially a 20 question quiz and for the winner there was no prize... nothing to foster interaction. Massively overpriced bingo games where for $39 you got 3 cards and then got to play a whopping 3 games... oh and if you came in a little late they wouldn't sell you a card ... (wtf ?). They put 'activities' on the schedule that weren't actually an activity like the "Martini Mixology" event in the martini bar... on the schedule for 3pm - you get there and the is no event... just their way of trying to sell you the flight of 6 jr sized martinis. If it's not an event why did you put it on the schedule ?
The room was fine except for the underperforming AC unit (I prefer a colder room) and the pair of nasty womens panties that were left under the sink in the bathroom. The beds were a little too firm for my liking.
