We took 2 consecutive 7 night cruises (same ship/cabin) on Celebrity Summit departing 25 October 2014. The Summit has been solsticised so we knew what to expect in the staterooms. We booked a C2 balcony and were not disappointed. Stateroom very similar to the Solstice but, in my opinion, slightly better. The wardrobes are opposite the bathroom as opposed to the Solstice where they are next to the bed. Consequently the Summit felt more roomy when dressing. Also the shower on the Summit is a step in with shower curtain which was more roomy than the Solstice which is glassed. The bed was as comfy as I remember on the Solstice and we slept soundly every night although we did miss our pillow chocolates each evening.

The food on the Summit was to a good standard and we ate well in the main Cosmopolitan dining room, the Oceanview restaurant, Bistro on 5 and the poolside grill. We had the classic drinks package which we upgraded almost immediately onboard. We're not big drinkers but didn't want to be restricted in our choice of drinks and upgrading worked well for us. The drinks packages did, however, result in a different Celebrity experience to our previous one in that there were several instances of clear drunkenness. This didn't interfere with our holidy too much as it was all in good humour.

Vast majority of the crew were pleasant as we would expect from the calibre of staff employed by Celebrity but one particular poolside bar waiter didn't appear to be particularly customer oriented!!

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 2

Cabin C2

Connecting door to 8111 which worked well for us as travelling with adult family. Normal sized balcony. No noise from other cabins. Some of the soft furnishings and towels were looking a little tired (holes in towels and tear in bed valance) but did not impact our enjoyment.
