Embarkation went smooth. Upon arriving at our Cabin 10050 we discovered someone elses luggage. The steward told us to go to the front desk. After waiting in line 30 minutes they told us to go back to our cabin and someone would meet us there. After wasting another 20 minutes it turned out that someone had mistook their room number while the steward was cleaning and had left their luggage. For the most part the Crew was great. Food was mostly pretty good. We learned that if dinner was bad at the restaurant that O'shehans had good Burgers and desserts. The breakfast buffett seemed to be the same every day. There was not nearly enough seating and your food could be cold by the time you found a seat. We found out that you could eat in the Italian restraunt where their was plenty of seating and quiet. For the first 2 days the entertainment that we like (comedians, magic) was lacking. It got better further into the cruise but did not compare to other cruises we have been on. There were only 4 Hot tubs that were around the main pool. It appears there were more Hot tubs that only the Suite rooms had access too.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony
Cabin BA 10050
Room was nice but small. Rooms being small was a commonly heard complaint. The glass on the balcony was too dirty to look through. I tried to clean it but didn't have much luck. The TV remote didn't work. The room steward gave us another one that worked sporadically. The TV was only about 20 inches. They should replace the big picture in front of the bed with a decent TV. The speaker in the room didn't work and we had to go into the hallway to hear announcements.

  • Banana Coast (Trujillo)
Trujillio was terrible. They are not ready for cruise ships. We had to take a lifeboat on a long ride to the dock. At the dock there are a few tables with souvenirs and $4.00 beer. We took a snorkeling excursion but there was only about 6 foot visability and few corals and fish. The worst I have seen in the Carribean. The boat then went to see starfish but the guide couldn't find any. We went to the beach by the dock but the water was dirty with a lot of debris. From what we heard on the lifeboat not many people liked this port.

We took the San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi to Cay Caulker. It is located about 100 yards to the left when you exit the cruise ship area. Round trip was $17 a person. It is important to get their quick to catch the first shuttle to have more time on the island. When we got off the shuttle there was a group of snorkelers leaving on a tour. We asked the captain if we could join them. The first stop was Shark and Sting Ray Alley. We were able to swim with around 15 nurse sharks and sting rays. The guide held one shark so that everyone could feel his sandpaper like skin. From there we were able to snorkel the coral reefs which is some of the best in the world. After snorkeling we went to a beachfront bar just to the right of the dock. We met some wonderful people vacationing there where they told us about the Paradise restaurant. We had a large whole lobster, soup, sides and a cuba libre for $22. We then walked the island and bought some souvenirs. We then waited at the bar until it was time for the shuttle back. This was the highlight of our cruise.
