Due to airline issues, we arrived in Quebec City a day late (Princess was in port over night), but when we arrived the second day, we were hustled through embarkation very quickly. This was a great way to start our association with Princess.

If you get a chance to go to Saguenay on your northeastern cruise, do it. It's a great little fjord city that goes out of its way to make you feel welcome. The countryside is beautiful and the people are as well. They staged a huge welcome at the dock complete with period costumes, dancing, tastes of blueberries and maple syrup, and great picture opportunities. Be sure to go out in the morning. That's when they put on the show. They were even there when we left late in the afternoon. The port has free Wi-Fi and crafters just inside the building. We used the HOHO bus (2 tours available--$15 a head for both tours) that took us around the city.

Two sea days were rough--a lot of us were in our cabins for the first part of the day not feeling too well. Also, our last stop was to be Charleston, but there was too much wind and waves for the ship to dock. The captain decided against it since weather was due to deteriorate. The cruise director got to work immediately with more things to do on board.

Cabin Review

Cabin D

There is a life boat just below the window. It does not obstruct the window to a great degree. You can see out of the window quite well. It is above the shopping venues so it's quiet. There is a laundry down the hall. The room is close to the elevators and stairs so you can get to the Promenade deck and the Atrium area with no problems and don't have to wait for the elevators. I wish there had been a large chair or small sofa. There are just two small chairs and the bed to sit on. Plenty of storage.
