Was looking forward to cruising with Celebrity as we have had numerous reports from friends on how great they are as we normally sail on the Royal Carribbean line.The ship was looking fairly old and probably due for a refit because it showed signs of wear and loose fittings.The level of service was very poor in the dining room.Our meals at night were rushed and on a couple of nights we did not get any beverage waiters to come to our table.The majority of staff did not have interaction and repoire whether this is a Celebrity policy or staff were not used to Australian passengers.We reported a lack of hot water in the shower and it wasn't until the fourth day that the problem was fixed after telling our room attendant twice house guest once and reception once.The beverage staff were virtually non existant around the sitting areas and on quite a few occasions we had to go to the bars to get any service.While these may be somewhat minor complaints it certainly detracted from the overall enjoyment and is not up to the standard that we enjoy on Royal Carribbean.I always like to finish on a positive note and must commend them on the variety and quality of the food as it was outstanding in all areas.As with all cruises it is relaxing and we enjoyed our time.
