Overall great trip – highly recommend Princess. This was our first time on Princess and out of the 6 cruise lines we’ve been on, this is the best. The details…

This was a shorten trip because it was a fill-in between the ship’s transfer between summer Canadian cruises and its winter Caribbean schedule. We got off to a rocky start because apparently customs only sent half their people for the debarkation – that meant everything was delayed. We didn’t get on board nor underway on time. It all worked out, but they could have told us why we were standing around so that we didn’t start thinking (which we did) – oh no, this is a bad sign. They made the time up that night and in the end there was no impact. But we were worried about getting out of there when we returned. But as it turns out they brought the full compliment and disembarkation was very smooth.

Our room was a balcony, forward on deck 14. I like these “out of the way” cabins. No foot traffic. So the only people in our area were other guests that went there on purpose. The room itself is designed well. The “closet” – no doors, hence the quotes – is positioned fore to aft so that it separates the bathroom from the bed. Great design to keep the noise out of the bed area. One can go to the bathroom and get dressed without lighting up the whole room. Balcony was plenty big enough for two chairs and a small table.
