I'm ordering photos online to make Christmas gifts and am reliving the experience all over again. I've been on a few cruises, mainly as a child with my grandparents on big cruise lines (Alaska and Hawaii). My family likes to travel and we normally don't choose cruising because we like to spend more time in a location. We have traveled all over the world and have had some extraordinary vacations. My mother informed me that my stepdad's lodge had chosen to go on this cruise and I was fortunate enough to be able to make it work. Where do I start. Being used to the extremely large cruising ships, this was the antithesis of those. More of a sailing ship, it is an absolute sight to behold. Anytime I show someone the picture of it, they are absolutely blown away. It's amazing. You may read that there are certain downsides to choosing a smaller ship and I agree that there were a few areas that left room for improvement but I did not care one bit. The experience was amazing. Amazing is not even the right word to describe it. I think of our trip, and I'm filled with an overwhelming sense of nostalgia. I know this sounds a bit over the top but it's true. The places we visited were stunning (Italy, Sicily, Greece, Montenegro, Croatia, and Slovenia). We read reviews and saw that this was not a trip to choose for families with small children but my nephews were coming either way (ages 8 and 11).

Pros:

Mainly European passengers so we were able to meet people from a variety of places

Cabin Review

Cabin Clipper Deck

Our room was perfectly fine. It was a beautiful room with a porthole view. I was in a room with one of my nephews. He slept in the Murphy bed and I had the queen. It was great. You spend minimal time in it.
