We arrived in Fort Lauderdale on November 3rd, after spending 29 nights going from Barcelona to Venice via France, Italy, Greece and Turkey, and then on around Italy stopping in Messina, Naples, Civativecchia, Barcelona again, and the Madeira Islands before going on the inaugural Transatlantic Crossing.
What a wonderful time.
Our cruise started in Barcelona with a very smooth embarkation process in the new cruise terminal. Off we went on a non-stop four day port visit - Toulon, Livorno, Civativecchia, and Naples. We acheived one goal by climbing the Leaning Tower of Pisa. We had been there in 1999 for our 25th Anniversary and it was under repair so we had to wait another 15 years to climb the Tower, all 300 steps.
The Mini-suite was fine - I was surprised by the thin'ish towels in the bathroom. I was expecting something a little more plush.
