My Wife and I just returned on Nov.1,2014 from the trans-atlantic repositioning cruise that began in Rome on Oct. 17th and ended in Miami. We flew to Rome from Dallas and arrived Oct. 14th. We stayed in Rome in the Rome Cavalieri, Waldorf Hotel in Rome. We had the hotel arrange for our pickup at the Airport and transportation to the Port. The hotel accommodations were excellent and we highly recommend this hotel for its location and views of Rome. They have a free shuttle that leaves for the downtown area every hour. This was our fifth time to visit Rome and we had no desire to revisit the sites or tour the city.

We found the check in at the Port to be very quick and efficient. We stayed in one of the Celebrity Suites (1122) on Deck 10. We found the Celebrity Suite to be very spacious with ample closet space. Our balcony on the starboard side was large and perfect for the two of us. As a Suite guest, We had access to Michaels Club which is exclusive and private. Our previous cruise on Celebrity was on the Eclipse in the Royal Suite for a week long Caribbean trip. Our Butler Nalan and Room Attendant Parnab were very efficient and pleasant. The Concierge Lenny and his assistant Manuela took care of our dining room and speciality restaurant reservations. We found the Tuscan Restaurant to be our favorite. The Murano was very good and we had no complaints. We had an early dinner in the Lawn Club Restaurant on one night. We found the Lawn Club Restaurant to be noisy and not well organized. The food was good, but we did not go back. The main dining room experience was excellent and our waiter Andreas was the best that I have encountered. He was very attentive and took extra care to make sure that we were pleased with the service. We found the shows average.
