Hi, I traveled with 2 other ladies and we very much enjoyed our cruise on Serenade of the Seas in October of 2014. We arranged our own transfer to Civitavecchia from Rome, and arrived early for boarding. Boarding went very smoothly but, as we were on board around noon, our room was not ready until after 1. We explored the ship as this was the first cruise for my 2 friends (I had been on one many years ago). Our room on Level 8 was fabulous and we loved the balcony, using it as a living room throughout the trip. (It also served as an area where we could hang our hand-washed clothes.)

We were seated in the dining room with 4 other ladies, and would have enjoyed having the table be full as there was room for 10. Several other tables were also not full and it would have been nice to meet more people if we could have been seated together. This is a small item because we very much enjoyed the company of the others at the table and loved our waiters.

We attended a few of the shows and found them entertaining, especially the Scottish comedian.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

The room was great, roomy for all of us to stay together (we were 3). The balcony was amazing, and we loved the inroom fridge. The service to our room was great and was clean when we returned from shore excursions, with ice in the ice bucket and clean glassware. The bathroom/shower were adequate and there was enough closet space for the 3 of us.
