Cabin: Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2C

The cruise started the best way ever. Embarkation was seamless. The weather was cold, windy and raining – typical for Harwich, and the Captain opened all the lounges. The result was that it took less than twenty minutes from curbside to the Oceanview Café. The Oceanview Café, by the way, is the one renovation I wish Celebrity had made when Infinity was re-furbished. It still has long lines at few areas instead of the many ‘pods’ of the Solstice class ships.

Our cabin was 6033, one of the ‘sweet sixteen’. The veranda in this 2C cabin is twice as deep as any other in the same class and that really was nice. We moved the inside table outside and the outside table inside. This gave us more room in the cabin and more room for breakfast on the veranda with no crowding. This cabin is forward, near but not right next to the elevators and stairs. There were no noise problems whatever. Our cabin staff was wonderful.

In the MDR, the elegance I remembered from Millennium and Century, missing on Reflection, was back. Whether this is a function of Captain, Executive Chef or whomever, it was nice to see again. All of our servers at our table for 10 were fabulous. We joined some other friends at a table for six at late seating twice and the service there was just as fabulous as was the food, far superior to Reflection in January.

Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2C

Cabin 2C

This cabin is one of the 'sweet sixteen'. Nothing more need be said. The veranda is twice as deep and this made a big difference. This cabin is near, but not next to, the forward elevators and the noise level was nil.
