The Enchantment of the Seas is a nice ship, and this is a good itinerary if you want a quick "getaway" cruise. I probably wouldn't do a short cruise like this again, though it doesn't have to do with RCCL or the Enchantment as much as I just don't think 3 day cruises are my thing.

BACKGROUND

My wife and I wanted to take this cruise for our 8th wedding anniversary. We both wanted to do a cruise, but I didn't have a ton of time to take off of work, having already done a 2-week road trip to Boston/cruise to Bermuda in May. We got a good deal on this particular itinerary through Cruise.com, and the weather in Florida/the northern Bahamas is usually splendid in late October, so we decided to go with it. This was my 7th cruise, and my wife's 4th. Our cruise dates were October 24th through 27th.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite with Balcony

Cabin JS

Our cabin was outstanding! Both the Junior Suite and the balcony were spacious and inviting; more than enough room for two people. As usual, we ended up using the sofa sleeper for junk storage. The bathroom was also more spacious than you expect on a cruise ship, with a shower/tub combo. My only complaint was that it was exceedingly easy to set the water in the shower/tub way too hot. Check carefully before stepping in. The bed was also comfortable. I have trouble with a stiff back when sleeping, but didn't have any issues on this cruise. Most impressive was the level of soundproofing in these staterooms. We were only a few doors down from the Centrum, and directly below the pool, both of which generate a lot of noise. But even if there was music going full volume at the pool or down on Deck 5 of the Centrum, you couldn't hear a peep inside our cabin. Very impressive. This being a short cruise, we didn’t see our cabin steward very much, nor did we need to ask him for anything. Be aware that a Junior Suite doesn’t entitle you to butler or concierge service, only priority boarding and debarkation.TIP: In Nassau, free WiFi is provided by “Festival Place”, and you can pick up the signal if you have a stateroom on the port side. It’s pretty slow and cuts in and out – but it is free.
