Getting on the ship theough Miami was easy and organized as usual for Miami. We Had a suite cabin # 7228 booked, upon entering the cabin the smell of sewage was what you first noticed. The room was missing some of the paneling over the overhead lights, the dresser's middle drawer was broken, nothing had been dusted, hair in the tub and grosser the magazines that they put in the room were sticky. No welcome basket of any sort.
I read plenty of reviews about the crazy food lines and they were not incorrect at all, the pizza line at one point was at least 75 people deep, with only one person making pizza. I feel bad for the staff because people wwere flipping out about the waits, and it is understandable. The buffet was disorganized and the food just maybe warm. This was a cruise to Key west and Cozumel, to put in simply CARBS needed to be available at all times to soak up the booze being consumed by some of the guests.
I have been on 8 carnival cruises before this one and I am shocked by how terrible this one was. From the Drunken guests to the overworked, seemingly aggravated staff, this was just a bad experience. Carnival need to do some evaluations of the "Pizza Pirate" go back to big pizza's where a slice can be grabbed anytime, not these made to order 9 inch things, Drunks will eat any pizza! I hope the Victory gets some love in the future upgrades. I am boooked on the breeze in April, my fingers are crossed.
Smelled like sewage. The room was missing some of the paneling over the overhead lights, the dresser's middle drawer was broken, nothing had been dusted, hair in the tub and grosser the magazines that they put in the room were sticky. No welcome basket, carnival does not seem to care about this ship. The doors had opened vents, which was nice, cause I really loved hearing my nieghbors across the hall calling each other names and fighting until wee hours of the morning.
