First about us: two adults in late 40's, reside in NYC's outer borough, three kids but went without children on this sailing, ten cruises overall: 4 with NCL, 4 with RCCL (including Allure and Serenade), 1 on Celebrity Equinox and 1 with Princess cruises.

This was our second sailing on the Breakaway to Bahamas. The first one was a year ago, 11/16/13. As last year, we cannot figure out why this beautiful ship with such a great crew receives poor ratings on CC. Both, embarkation and disembarkation were quick and smooth. Got to port at 11:30a.m., were on the ship and UNPACKED in our cabin by 12:45p.m. Disembarkation did as EASY WALK OFF, which lived exactly to it's name: were on the gangway floor at 7:30a.m. and in the taxi across the street from the port by 8a.m.

We were very impressed with the crew. Officers and other managerial personal were highly visible throughout the sailing, especially at the dining venues, constantly inquiring into the level of our satisfaction with meals and service. Other personal we have come in contact with were very friendly, respectful, accommodating and eager to please, and at the same time appeared genuanly satisfied with their work. Everybody we talked to were the employees of the company for ten years or longer.

Cabin Review

Family Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B2

Very convenient location, close to forward elevators and staircase. Cabin is quiet. This is a connecting room with bed by the door, located on the same floor with Splash academy. We never heard any noise from the connecting cabin, but there was very quiet young couple there. There were not many kids on our sailing, there was no noise. The cabin is the fourth or so from the elevators and to get to kids academy you have to cross the elevators/staircase area. The balcony is the standard breakaway fair (which some people find to be small, but was good for us). Our cabin steward was very accommodating and polite, pleasure to work with.
