Embarkation at Southampton good with high expectations.

Ship is very smart and clean and the wide variety of nationality staff are well trained in customer service.

Good choices of food throughout but in the Moonlight Sonata food was lukewarm and we had to sent it back only to receive hot plates and still lukewarm food! So one night we 'splashed out' in the speciality Murano restaurant.where the staff outnumbered the diners but the food was excellent..

Cabin Review

Sunset Veranda

Cabin SV

We were 'upgraded' by our travel agent before we left home, from a mid-ship balcony cabin to a Sunset Veranda at the back of the ship. Great views but sunsets of course were limited depending on which way the ship was sailing. The exhaust from the ships funnel often cascaded down to our balcony resulting in having to keep the patio doors closed. Another time we returned to our cabin to find it infested with tiny flies as they were trapped in the still air at the back of the boat. The wake behind the boat was very noisy and we felt every wave, which made us feel that the boat was somewhat unstable. We had a long walk from the cabin along a corridor to the nearest lift. (Was this an upgrade or a downgrade?)
