This was our first cruise ever. The Grandeur is an older ship that was refurbished 2 years ago. Nice job. For the 8 days the only complaint was the SLOW elevators. Sometimes they just skipped a few floors altogether. Then had to wait more for it to come back. The Great Gatsby dining room was really nice. The maitre'd was fabulous. Knew our first and last names by the second night. All dining staff was super. Food was terrific, especially the escargot, steak and desserts. I'd eat in the dining room as much as possible. Breakfast and dinner.

The buffet was just edible. Nothing REALLY good. Lots of mediocre food.

In the dining room everything was hot/cold as should be. Served quickly with each course in it's own time. No rushing. Had "My Time" and reserved the night before according to which excursion we were taking.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin F

Large enough for 2 comfortably. Bed was great (twins together to form king) Location was wonderful. No outside noise. Balcony big enough for table & 2 chairs plus. Bathroom adequate...shower smallish for bigger people. Floor flooded one time while showering. Drain hole behind toilet took it all away. Room and carpet clean. Sea was rough last 2 days but we had no problems with sea sickness.
