Our party of 8 just finished our 6th cruise aboard the Freedom, and were very disappointed. The ship is showing signs of age, but worse than that its service has deteriorated! Getting on the ship took longer than we have ever experienced before, and getting off was a pure nightmare! Long lines getting off the ship, pure chaos in the luggage area, a scheduled 9:15 disembarkation that found us finally getting out of the terminal after 11:00 (!) ......... caused us to miss our scheduled airport shuttle, and almost miss our flight home. What a mess! The quality of service in the dining room and Windjammer was not as good as before ....... waiter messed up orders ....... those in the Windjammer were seldom around offering drinks or refills. They took away the peanut butter cookies (!), sliced almonds and walnuts to put in your oatmeal, as well as cooked prunes with breakfast ........ all in the name of economy, I'm sure. Desserts are not a strong point on Freedom, but they have entirely too many mousse type desserts (cheaper). The menu in the dining room definitely needs redone ...... some nights it was hard to find something you thought you'd actually want to order! With only 2 major ports on the Eastern Caribbean cruise, the times in port were abbreviated ...... thus, we feel slighted in actual port times. And don't be "wowed" by the promises of things you'll receive for being a loyal Crown and Anchor member ........ as Emerald members, we were promised pins and the use of RC robes ........ neither happened! My opinion of the Freedom at present is that it has sunk in rating to where it is more comparable to the the "C" ships! Very disappointed.

Cabin Review

Promenade Stateroom

Cabin PR

Our cabin was pretty much the same as usual (we did a Promenade this time rather than balcony), but it seemed somehow smaller than a Promenade we had once before.
