Let me start by saying there has been a 5 year gap in since our last cruise and some things have changed. Some for the good and some not so good. Fortunately the good out weighed the not so good by far.

Embarkation:

Carnivals embarkation process gets a big thumbs up. We arrived in Miami at 10:08 on the day of sailing. We picked up our luggage and low and behold not next to the carrousel was a Carnival check in station. We stood in line for approximately 10 minutes and got completely checked in including our photo sail and sign card. Next we walked to the door and jumped in a cab. The cab to the port of Miami was $25 for the three of us rather than $54 for transfers each way and there is no waiting just get in and go. When we arrived at the Carnival Cruise terminal we were sent directly to the elevator and to the welcome aboard picture and right on the ship. Our room was clean and ready so we dropped off our carry-ons and went to the Lido Deck for some long awaited food. We were almost the first ones to board and were eating by 11 am. Folks that is less than an hour from arrival to eating on the Lido. I really don't know how anyone can improve on that.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8G

Outstanding!!!! Best cabin we have ever been in. Location, location, location!!! Beautiful colors blue and cream. One deck up and 20 feet from the main pool. Three minute round trip to the ice cream machine. Thirty seconds from the Blue Iguana tequila bar. You can be the first one in the pool in the morningFive or 6 cabins away from the atrium elevators which makes it really convenient especially If one has a disability. The balcony could be a little larger but am not complaining. If you are in to taking pictures deck 11 puts you much higher than any of the building in the ports and I got some outstanding pictures tat look like aerial shots. Next cruise I will try to book this cabin or one near it for sure.
