Myself and my mother had been on river cruises before, but this was a first on the sea. The embarkation and disembarkation in Venice was like clockwork. We had stayed one night in Hotel do Pozzi in Venice which was perfect and centrally located.

We were originally down for My Time Dining for the full week, but it took so long to have dinner the first night that we opted for the Windjammer after that. I don't know where the people who make up the horror stories about the Windjammer are from, but we found it fine. A good selection of food every evening. Yes, occasionally it could be crowded, but in that case, we just went for a drink and came back later. We tried one dinner and one lunch in Chops and were delighted both times. Having read reviews on Cruise Critic I was expecting a lot more from the Park Cafe than it delivered. Food-wise, the Windjammer had much fresher items.

As another reviewer mentioned, the big screen on Deck 9 is very intrusive and I don't know if anyone was ever actually watching it.

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom

Cabin Q

Really quiet cabin. When we saw the deck plans we thought there might be elevator noise, but it was really quiet. Quiet and dark which meant we both had a great night's sleep. Room steward was perfect - attentive but not intrusive.Shower curtain tended to 'cling' a bit which led to water getting on the floor, but it wasn't a huge issue.Would have no issue getting an inside cabin again.
