I quite liked this trip except for one day, and that was the Ports of Tournon and Tain l'Hermitage. We saw none of Tournon, which looked like a very nice town to explore, complete with castle ruins. Instead we spent the entire time in Tain - at ValRhona chocolate shop (did not get to tour the factory next door), visiting a no-name artist "museum" in his daughter's house, and a wine tasting which was a 30 minute drive away, not at all picturesque, and third rate wine.

The rest of the trip however, was first rate. Loved Beaune, Lyon was fantastic, Arles I could spend several days in, and Avignon and the Pont du Gard were splendid. One nice surprise was an evening tour of Viviers - do not miss this part even though it's in the evening and you will be bushed. We also took the optional tour to Cluny which was very enjoyable, and my husband took the tour to Chateaunuef du Pap which he enjoyed.

The ship was wonderful, clean and modern, and our room (one of the two-room veranda suites) was delightful and spacious. The food was good, although not over-the-top fantastic, but good. I would go again on this cruise, but instead of taking the included tour to Tain, I would explore Tournon.
