We just got back from our first cruise celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary on the beautiful Caribbean Princess. Our initial itinerary was to leave Ft Lauderdale to Princess Cays, St. Maarten, St Thomas and Grand Turk. But Hurricane Gonzalo changed that to Princess Cays, Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman and Cozumel.

We drove down to Ft Lauderdale on Friday the 10th, checked into the Best Western (old, clean, cheap) and asked the desk downstairs for a recommendation on where to eat, he suggested we drive down a couple of miles to Hollywood Blvd and check out the downtown restaurant and bar area. So we did, found a place to park and started walking. Lots of people out and about, everykind of bar and restaurant you could find. We weren't really sure what we wanted so we were just strolling. Stopped in front of a place called Whiskey Tango Bar and Grill; it was very busy, the US Men's soccer was playing on a big screen.... ok lets give it a try.

Superb... highly recommend. Great food great service. A classic bar and grill in a rennovated brick building, nothing fancy but some mighty fine grub. Potato Skins, Blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich/fries and the wife had stuffed burger that was delicious. Great start to our week.

Cabin A638 was bigger than I imagined. Lot of closet space, the bathroom was small but the shower water pressure and temp were great. Bed was comfortable, I slept well all week. The balcony while small was fantastic. I could spend hours watching the sea. If I could have changed one thing it would be a room closer to midship but that is nitpicking. I would book this cabin again. Steward was May, she was wonderful.
