We returned on Monday this week from a 14-night transatlantic cruise aboard the Norwegian Star. The ship and especially its crew met and exceeded our expectations. I find it hilarious at times reading some reviews of people who seem to go out of their way to find the most minute of things to complain about. Is your entire life like that or is it only when you have a public forum like this on which to complain? I some times wonder what it would be like to visit the home of the people who are annoyed that their stateroom isn't spotless or that a light was burned out or that the carpet was a little smudged. This assumes of course that everything in your house is 5-star quality also. Right?

If you get the chance to sail on the Star take it. Make sure you eat lunch at the Versailles restaurant regularly and have dinner in the Aqua restaurant where you cannot go wrong with the "volcano" for dessert. Entertainment onboard was Broadway quality and at the end of the 14 day cruise we considered stowing away unti the ship reached Los Angeles just so we didn't have to depart. Hopefully you will feel the same way after you spend time on the Star.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MX

What a superb home for 14 days at sea! We had more than adequate storage space, lots of closet space a huge bed, fantastic view of the ocean and a bathtub in the restroom! Talk about luxury at sea. Our only complaint about the room was having to inhale the second-hand smoke of the guests in the adjacent mini-suite who sat on their balcony and smoked like a chimney. However what can you do on a fully packed ship other than grin and bear it. Bottom line about Stateroom 11556 is that we miss it and wish we had never departed this ship.
