We sailed on Freedom of the Seas and just returned. The sea was calm and beautiful, easy on/off the ship. This was our 3rd time on this ship and there were a few subtle changes. Entering the port you now pay for parking as you enter, the lot attendant said there were too many people getting off the ship that did not have money left to pay for parking. It actually made for leaving easier. The ship was very clean and beautiful, I did notice some rust in the adult only pool. We had an inside cabin and yes it was small but we knew that going in, the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The room steward was very nice but in the past your rooms were made up quickly and ours wasn't until the middle of the afternoon, this did not bother us at all but some people may be put off. I asked for ice to keep my water in, in the past there was always a bucket of ice in the rooms, now you have to ask which is not a problem.

The shows were all good but the same as the other times we cruised, they may want to change the shows a bit, still enjoyable. We ate every night in the dining room and the food was very good, service was very good also. Only 1 night I didn't like my meal and the waiter offered to get me another but I was full from the delicious cheese rolls and 3 appetizers. The breakfast in the main dining room was a bit disappointing, we only ate breakfast once in the dining room then went to the buffet where they would make an omelet to your liking. The food in the buffet was good but not outstanding, there was a nice assortment a little something for everyone. Deserts were a little disappointing, they looked beautiful but tasted off.

I noticed this time aboard the ship they they are constantly trying to sell you their upscale restaurants which we did not eat in. Lots of kiosks selling overpriced jewelery/ watches/ etc... I did get 2 T shirts for 20.00 and that was about it. The coffee shop was very good, nice little sandwiches and a good selection. Sorrento's pizza was awful !!!! Tasted like cardboard, carnival cruise has them beat the Carnival Dream had excellent pizza so RCR step it up ! We purchased a drink card and it made getting drinks easy, the frozen lava flow is a mixture of pina coloda and strawberry daiquiri and quickly became one of my favorites. The price of the drink package included the 15% gratuity so no surprise in your bill. I only did 2 excursions, one was a bus/water tour, the bus turned into a boat and it was kind of fun. The other was aboard a racing sail boat, very fun but I wished it went a little faster. Cozumel had tons of shops all selling the same stuff, we just walked around a bit and went back to the pool area on the ship.
