Only my fourth cruise, but first in over 20 years. My partners first cruise. We limited our activities due to partners fear of crowds and other issues, yet the Caribbean Princess (CP) left both of us feeling VERY satisfied and happy. Embarkation was a breeze as we arrived a little early (about noon). Was is our room (C753 - so perfect) within 30-40 minutes. The CP was absolutely beautiful! Never met a single staff person I could say anything negative about. All were TOP SHELF in help, guidance, and willingness to assist. Room steward Romy -- as reported in many reviews here - PERFECT!. Buffet staff ensured everyone hand-sanitized prior to entering buffet lines. Had anytime dining but my partner felt more comfortable in the buffets with a table for two. Two dinners in anytime dining rooms were OK. Staff attentive, menu selection was much less than I remember from my past. The last nights onboard dinner of steak, sea bass, baked Alaska dessert were superb.

Stayed at the Ft Lauderdale Holiday Inn Cruise-Airport hotel. Arrived about midnight. Staff great, room quite nice. Morning staff was helpful directing me to a local store to buy wine for the cruise. Full simple breakfast buffet was a nice touch. WILL repeat this hotel experience. 3 of 3 desk staff were top-shelf in all aspects of hotel professionalism.

Grand Cayman did dolphin and manta ray experience. Dolphin water was dark, murky - not so pleasant. Manta Ray water was waist deep and picture perfect. So clean, so pure. Partner really was looking forward to dolphins - both of us disappointed in water, crowd of 8 in a group. Neither excited about Rays, but it turned out to be the highlight of the day.

Cabin Review

Cabin Rear Facing Balcony

Loved the cabin. Room steward - Romy - was so very attentive. Have not cruised in a long time so I forgot the ice bucket was in the refrigerator. When we asked for ice, Romy asked if we went thru our ice already? Both newbies, I looked at handing Romy the waste basket from the bathroom, my partner started to hand him the waste basket from the room. He looked at us and said the ice bucket was inside the refrigerator which we did not even think of. Homer Simpson would say -DUH! We laughed. It is one of our favorites cruise laughs.Balcony was beautiful. View was picture perfect. Smooth ocean the whole cruise. I had no problem with the shower but my partner kept complaining of cold showers. I think the only real warm shower she had is when she let me adjust the temps for her. I found the top (cold) should be open a tad, and adjust the actual temp via the lower (hot) to get a warm shower every time.Room C753 is VERY quiet.I would definately re-book this same room. Many folks here rave about C753 - add me to the list.
