Embarkation was not as great as it could have been. We were in a suite, I needed wheelchair assistance and we had Faster to the Fun. Who was to take us?? We were finally taken to the VIP lounge (still not boarding at the time so that was okay) however when it came time to board they had forgotten that I needed a wheelchair. All the wheelchairs were with the wheelchair area. I had been told they needed the wheelchair that I had been brought up in but it seems that all the others that came up had kept their wheelchair. We ended up boarding with the rest of the ship. Oh well not horrible and it was nice to be able to go right to our room which was ready for us.

We had an Ocean Suite. It had a lot of storage and was really great because there is a changing room just before the bathroom. Wiith 3 of us one could be in the bathroom getting ready, one in the changing room and one in the bedroom. It had a nice tub but I ended up having to go to the spa for a shower as I couldn't get into the bathtub. Oh well. Our room steward and his assistant were wonderful. Our room was always cleaned and everything that we asked for was done right away. Best one's I have had on all my cruises so far.

We went to the steakhouse the first night and my lamb was really tough. I couldn't even cut it. They gave me a steak instead which was really good. I had been looking forward to my meal of lamb but oh well. The rest of the food during the week was okay. I do like the brunches and the cheese grits are really great. I did order the lamb off of the regular menu and it cut like butter. I enjoyed it a lot. At the buffet they had someone come and help me as soon as I got to the line. I can do it myself but with my walker it is a balancing act and a hope and a prayer that everything will not come off the seat. I didn't ask for it but the main chef at the buffet saw me the first day and I overheard him tell the staff that I was to be helped when I came in. It did help me and made it easier to get to a table. Just so there is no confusion I waited in line and did not line cut.

Cabin Review

Ocean Suite

Cabin OS

The cabin had lots of room for the 3 of us and a lot of storage. It had a changing area outside of the bathroom that could be closed off. Since there were 3 of us, one would change in the bathroom, one in the changing area and one in the room. Made it easier and faster for all of us to get dressed. It had a bathtub that I would have loved to have used but with my disability I couldn't get in it so used the showers at the spa. I spent a lot of time on the balcony reading and since it had 3 chairs there was plenty of room for all of us. I would love to get this room again.
