Pre cruise: we flew in the day before and spent the day/night at the W Fort Lauderdale. Loved the hotel and its location, it was a perfect way to start off our cruise.

Embarkation: gotta say the port Everglades terminal is in sorry shape, but as platinum members it took under 10 minutes to go through security, checkin and be in our cabin. I have heard a lot of complaints about people being able to buy FTTF, but this was never an issue.

Cabin: we had cabin 1006, port side, first cabin in the front. Loved having a cabin on a high floor, we are usually on much lower decks and I have to say never again will we go back down there. It was great to be so close to everything. The only downfall is that there is an access door to the deck at the front of the shop, and wandering cruisers would let the door slam at the very wee hours of the morning. Since we didn't have kiddies with us that was a non issue but I can imagine a family with light sleeping little ones would be inconvenienced.

Great location, some noise due to proximity of access door,to the front deck which slams in the wind. Great for gym and spa access, serenity area. Besides the door thing, very quiet
