Wow, I was really surprised by the bad reviews. Maybe it's all individual perception. I did a Super Saver booking in June for the last 5 night cruise to Canada from NYC. Got to the terminal on Saturday at 2:50 and was in my room at 3:30. Embarkation was easy, did what I was told. Were some terminal people assertive? Yes, they need to be because people are half-listening and on their phones! I traveled with two friends and they were surprised how spaced out people were. Anyway, embarkation was easy but if you want to get there and on the ship in twenty minutes, get the faster to the fun pass for sixty bucks.

Our room was an interior and with plenty of space for two. The third friend an a single with a queen size bed which was great as well. No fridge or microwave, that's what the constant access to food is for! We didn't eat the first night at any restaurant, just a burger and checking out the ship. This was a my friends' first time on Splendor, my second. It didn't bother us, but some people were annoyed by the design. I really don'y understand how a person can purchase a trip somewhere and not see a picture of the decor before going, but I digress.

We did all the food stops and were happy with the food service. The buffet line moved and I was back on my seat within ten minutes, The servers and other consumers were polite and courteous, I come from a major city on the East Coast and was surprised how many "excuse me" and "thank you's" I heard. Really nice people! Breakfast was good. I loved after my breakfast outside on the lido deck. We only went to the Main Dining Room four times: Elegant Night, Seaday Brunch, Tea Time and the last night dinner. Elegant Night: Lobster was delicious though small so ask for two! They accommodate. Sit down and be patient if you chose Your Time Dining because it's a wait. Every dinner it about two hours. We spent it chatting with other guest at our table. Seaday Brunch was great! Great food get anything the food it better than dinner in my opinion. I had the split chicken and Caesar salad and my friends had pancakes. Tea Time was great too! cucumber sandwiches and smoked salmon on toast points and chatting with people. Scones and cream were good. The last night I was still full from the steak house and couldn't imagine another big meal so I just did a crab cake and Chicken Alfredo starter. Once again, it might be the company you keep that makes the trip better.
