This was our third cruise, first on Celebrity. September is a wonderful time of year to visit Europe and the Eastern Med. The weather was perfect and the crowds less imposing when compared to the hot summer months.
In general, my wife and I were very impressed with the Reflection crew and its enthusiasm to please the customer. The ship's officers and key staff were accessible and very responsive to our needs. Here is our comments on critical segments of our trip:
EMBARKATION: Prior to boarding, we stayed in Rome for 3 days. During that time, we visited Florence. Great addition to the overall experience! On the day of boarding, we spent 6 euros each to take the train to the port from Rome. A little stressful, but more than worth it when compared to the 92 euro per person alternative offered by Celebrity. The actual boarding of the ship was quick and seamless.
Excellent cabin location. It was an "obstructed view" rated cabin. Not sure why, we thought our view was fantastic. With the oversized balcony, it was simply great enjoying breakfast. The bathroom was totally functional and better than other cruise lines we have sailed. The TV worked great and was more than enough contact with the outside world. The internet connection is expensive. We paid $59.00 extra for two hours access. Very quiet at night. We were never disturbed because of noise. The vessel cruised beautifully. We had 4-8 foot seas one day and you would have never known it !!!!!!
