Sail Date: Feb 2007

Our eight day cruise on the Spirit commenced February 24, 2007.

DINING. We ate at most places, except the specialty restaurants. Food selection, quality, presentation and portion size were good. We found Raffles to be no more chaotic or disorganized than any buffet restaurant. At Raffles, it would be helpful if trays were provided. During the last two days at Raffles, passengers were not allowed to take their own beverages or bread - an indication of illness on board. In the dining rooms, many passengers dressed in T shirts, blue jeans and running shoes -attire more appropriate for McDonald's than for fine dining!

PUBLIC ROOMS. The Spirit is an attractive ship with interesting decor, especially Grand Centrum, Galaxy of the Stars and Maharini's Lounge. For non-smokers, smoking was permitted in too many public rooms. Automatic hand sanitizer dispensers in all dining areas and the casino were available to help prevent illness.
