We are a middle aged couple who love cruising and believe a day at sea is better than working. It's a long time since we last cruised with Princess as we usually sail with Celebrity. However we thoroughly enjoyed this trip
After arriving in Haneda airport we waited for our transfer to the ship and were able to drop our luggage off at the port which left us time to explore around Yokohama. Boarding was quite painless and shortly after we were unpacking and then heading for the pool bar for a "lemonade"
Our balcony cabin had lots of hanging space and was comfortable. All crew we encountered were pleasant ,special thanks to our waiters in the dining room who were friendly ,professional and quick with service (thankyou Charlee and Eduardo) The food was good if just a little on the small side but more was always offered.
The entertainment was good although we thought the magician may have been better suited to a childs birthday party.
We enjoyed our ships excursions in Kanazawa and Nagasaki, not so much in Busan as it was torrential rain, but the cultural center entertainment was brilliant. It was easy to do our own thing in Maizuru and Sakaiminato. There were free transfers from the ship to the town centers at all ports.
Extra special was the quayside entertainment that the local people did for us, such welcoming warm people.
Disembarkation was a breeze and we were soon on our ships transfer to Haneda airport again for our flight home.
All in all we enjoyed this trip and loved the warm reception of all the local people,we speak no Japanese apart from hello and thankyou but managed really well. Would we sail Princess again? Definitely if the itinerary was what we wanted and the price was right.
Great , quiet cabin , no obstructed view.
