I was a little concerned after reading some of the negative reviews, but our cruise on the Carnival Victory was amazing! It may be an older ship, but it is spotless and the decor is bright and bold. We purchased the "Faster to the Fun" option and it was well worth it. We were on board right after the Platinum and Gold members, our state room was ready when we got on board at 11:30 am, and our bags were delivered by 1:45 pm. We also opted to purchase the Cheers beverage package and it more than paid for itself. There are many bars on board and there is always a server roaming around to get you your drink of choice. We never waited more than five minutes to be served. The food in the buffet on the Lido deck was varied every day (except Breakfast) and was good quality. But the BEST food was in the Pacific dining room! They have standard options available every day as well as 3-4 options that changed daily. The wait staff was personable, quick, and entertaining. They performed a song and dance every evening after dinner and dessert were served. The entertainment on board was fantastic. I can't rave enough about the performer in the Piano Bar, and they had several other bands and performers at different locations on the ship throughout the day and evening. We only saw one Vegas style show, the dancing was a bit off but the singing was fabulous and the song selection was great. The comedian performed to a packed house every evening and he was hilarious.

As far as things that could be improved...There weren't very many activities planned throughout the day. They did have several different kinds of trivia each day and they did do a Digitial Ship Scavanger hunt, but I felt like they could have had more planned activities.

Our room was fantastic. The location was phenomenal, right in the middle of the ship and close to everything. There are staterooms above and below, so it was very quiet. There was minimal noise from the hallway. Our room steward was fantastic, she brought us ice every day. The room itself was very spacious for an interior room with three closests and a set of drawers. The bathroom was a bit dated (pink tile and sink), but it was very clean.
