This is a wonderful way to see multiple islands and we enjoyed EVERYTHING about the cruise.
We have only cruised twice before, so can't do a lot of comparisons, but I have to say, the ship's officers were very visible and concerned that we were enjoying our cruise. If there had been any issues, we had ample opportunity to have them addressed. I'd suggest organizing a meet and greet, as my family and I were treated like VIP passengers, or attend and sign in at the meet and greet, because I think everyone was invited to a bow party and received a treat or two in their cabin. Hotel Director Klaus Lugmaier was especially attentive and Jewelry Manager, Victoria was very friendly and provided some great insider information about the ports.
My husband I and our two adult sons stayed at Ilima Hotel for three days pre-cruise. The hotel is very clean, though slightly tired and quite dated. We had a two bedroom suite, which suited us perfectly. There is a full kitchen, large living room, a small balcony and two bedrooms, which gave us room to spread out. The front desk was friendly and helpful. The pool is tiny, but was not a priority when Waikiki is so close! I used the guest laundry (coin operated, so you need quarters) before checking out. Location is great, as it's a short walk to the beach, shopping, restaurants and bus service. It was quiet at night, and the beds were comfortable.
Good location: it was easy to get anywhere on the ship. Small room, but enough storage (don't forget to put your luggage under the bed) and nice enough size bathroom with permanent soap and shampoo dispensers. Comfortable bed. Gary used the coffee maker every morning for his first shot of coffee. Our room was adjoining with our sons in 9564, which was very convenient.
