The MSC Preziosa is a beautiful ship! It's new and pretty. We had a balcony and it was spacious and very well thought out with enough cabinets, shelves and drawers to be able to place all your personal items. Don't like vacationing out of a suitcase so this was a big plus. The cabins are non-smoking but they don't really re-enforce it so you have people smoking on their balconies and in their cabins as you can smell it when you're walking down the hallways. Europeans are big smokers and it was obvious on this cruise. That being said, food was good but never great and although they had "A La Carte" restaurants at a price I'm not sure they would have been any better. We were 5 couples, friends from home and the only thing that stood out for us was the lack of enthusiasm from the staff. We can point out a few pleasant souls...our chamber maid, Robinson, our server at the Art Gallery bar, Karen, the Waiter in the Dining room, Waldemar and the head waiter, Stefano. A few others were able to give us a smile by the end of the cruise so our grand total of pleasant staff may have gone up to 15...pretty sad when you consider that there are over 1500 employees on the ship!!! We did have a great time anyway but it would have been more pleasant with a friendlier staff!! P.S. Make sure you take a beverage package. Drinks and coffees add up quickly and you save the 15% service charge if you pre-book.
