I have never before been on a cruise so I have nothing to compare this too. I went in with low expectations so I was pleasantly surprised it went well and was pleased. I am aware that the Sky is not the most glorious ship, nor newest, nor best but if you want a nice long weekend as we did, it worked out nicely. I also have to add that the food was so much better than I expected. From the main dining room to the speciality restaurants, we really enjoyed it all.

We had an OWNER'S SUITE with priority access. There is no other way to go than PRIORITY as we had a private breakfast lounge, priority boarding/deboarding, concierge, etc. However, go with a PENTHOUSE instead of an Owner's Suite as it was just as nice (slightly smaller) but with a huge balcony at the front of the ship. So, my advice is to spend the extra money by booking a Penthouse, over a regular room and you get priority. The rooms come with a "butler" but honestly if we saw him more than a few times, it was not worth the tip we gave, sorry to say. The Owner's Suite shows a 'hot-tub' on the balcony and it's ridiculous as it's an old bathtub with jets. Keep in mind that the Owner's Suites or Penthouse room photos shown on Norweigian are not the true rooms - suprisingly they get away with this.

We docked each day in a Bahamas location. We pre-booked a "cabana' at the Hilton Colonial Nassau (10 minute walk) and it was awesome to have a private beach, pool, & food....we also did a private cabana on Great Stirrup Cay, their private island. Well worth the money too as again, it is just a bit away from the masses of people but close enough to enjoy the fun, the food, volleyball, etc.

Owner's Suite with Large Balcony

Cabin SB

We had 9201 an OWNER'S SUITE with priority access, it was nice however, my advice is to go with a PENTHOUSE instead as while the penthouse has only one room instead of having a seperate bedroom and has only one bath instead of 1.5, it has a huge balcony at the front of the ship - much larger than our Owner's Suite. The Owner's Suite shows on line a 'hot-tub' on the balcony and it's ridiculous as it's an old bathtub with jets and they should take it out and put a table and chairs. I personally would forgo this room next time and book a penthouse. The rooms come with a "butler" but honestly if we saw him more than a few times, it's a lot for the $50 tip we gave him....that was a waste sorry to say.
