The Dream was truly a dream cruise. I went on this cruise as a single. Carnival sat several singles together for the early dinner and we hit it off pretty well. After dinner we would go to the shows or the comedian acts or sit outside the piano bar and observe the nightlife on the ship. The shows were good and the other entertainment great. The food, as always, was wonderful. I did the Behind The Fun tour on the last sea day and got to meet the chef in the MDR as well as the chef in the Steakhouse, the Engine Room and the Bridge.

Our cruise was unique as we picked up 39 Cubans adrift several hours outside of Jamaica where we did a transfer with the US Coastguard at sea. We also had the Coastguard coming back the next day for an emergency medical evacuation.

The crew were great, warm, and accommodating who took wonderful care of us.

Balcony

Love balcony staterooms and like being on the port side - forward. Room was clean. The only thing was that the safe didn't work properly. The safes use a four digit number and it wouldn't lock. I reported it to the steward, told them not to worry about it for my cruise but wanted them to know before the next cruise for the room occupants.
