Where do I start? Well, I think if this had been our first cruise, we would have been a bit more impressed. The ship was large, nicely done and very clean. A multitude of glass and mirrors ( not good if you don't like your own reflection!!!) but all in all seemed very nice. The room was a bit on the small side, but again very clean, bed was comfortable, and cabin steward was very efficient. No problems with that side of things, but we noticed there were no tea making facilities and when we asked for a kettle, we were told we couldn't have one for safety reasons. Bit strange as all the other ships we have been on have had a kettle in the cabin.

We were allocated first sitting for dinner which was 1800, which wasn't ideal for us, bit too early so we didn't bother to use that restaurant, and although we cannot comment on the food in there, other passengers said they were not impressed with it. We would normally use the Oasis self service cafeteria, and this was sometimes a bit of a scrum to find somewhere to sit. The choices in here were quite limited, however what they did offer was cooked very well. On previous cruises we have used the speciality restaurants, however there was only one on here and this only offered Asian Fusion food, which was not our cup of tea, and didn't appear to be anyone else's either as we never saw anyone in there.

The entertainment for the most part was dire, the male singer was particularly bad, and the male piano player seemed to use pre-recorded tracks. However, the female piano player by the water feature was very good though, as were the 3 young girls who played the piano, violin and cello in the same area in the evenings.

Cabin Review

Cabin 9

Cabin was very clean and nicely decorated, but a bit on the small side, we only had one chair and a small table, not a sofa like it shows in the pictures. Wardrobe space was ok, balcony was a bit of a squeeze. OK for a week, but would have been claustrophobic for any longer than that.
