Overall, an enjoyable cruise. For the most part, the staff and crew were kind and gracious. The other passengers, however, were rude and pushy. That might have been in part to their average age being "deceased". There were more scooters, walkers and wheel chairs than an AARP convention....not that there's anything wrong with that....but elevators have a capacity limit in both number and volume. They didn't seem to understand that and forced themselves in.

We used Princess Ez-Air and flew the day of departure from DFW to Vancouver (not my idea but the others in my party were willing to chance). After much praying and breath holding, no problems or delays. Arrived in Vancouver right on schedule and thru Canadian customs in about 45 minutes and onto the bus to the dock (used Princess transfer also). Arriving at the dock around 2:30P related to no lines and directly aboard after signing in. Muster drill was conducted without hitch and upon returning to cabin luggage had arrived. Off to dinner in Crown Grill as comped by being booked in a suite. Met cabin steward on return: Manuel; a delightful young man who was efficient and respected our privacy.

Victoria excursion was booked thru Princess: Buchart Gardens and Butterfly gardens. Buchart was delightful; butterfly garden was disappointing. Seattle was also Princess sponsored trip to Columbia and Ste. Michael wineries. We were early arrival and Columbia adjusted accordingly even though is is mostly just a gift shop. Ste. Michael is just across the street so we were also early (45 minutes) arriving there too. They however, made no adjustment....we simply had to wait. The "tour" was educational but the facility was disappointing. The "tasting" was as poorly conducted as any we've participated in.

Cabin Review

Penthouse Suite with Balcony

Cabin S4

R404 is typical Princess PH suite. Size is standard suite and layout is as pictured in literature. The balcony is not as large as the one we had on the Island in Alaska two years ago, but still adequate. We especially like the way the bath is split-up. The furniture seemed tired and needs to be replaced. Bed was good requiring no "egg crate" for us.
