Drove from Rochester NY to Manhattan cruise port and parked for week at the parking area for NCL cruise ship at Dock 88. Cost was $280 for week. Took elevator down where we checked in baggage and was directed to check-in area. Not a lot of walking involved from parking to check-in. Arrived at 10:40 am and was on board by 11:30. Went up to deck 13 Bali Hai Bar and took pictures. Smoking allowed at this outdoor bar, Smoking areas also outside various spots deck 7. Had lunch from Buffet at pool on deck 12. After safety drill went to deck 13 to watch pulling out of port -awesome views of city, empire state bldg.,(see on port side) then Ellis Island, Statue of liberty and skyline(on starboard side) - don't miss going under bridge, make sure you duck!

Announcement that rooms ready around 1:00 so checked out room. We had an interior room deck 9 between aft and mid ship near elevators. Room smaller than other interiors we have had but laid out very well and in great condition, bathroom typical cruise ship size with nice shower with sliding doors. Easier to dry off in shower, Dispensers for hand soap at sink, dispensers in shower for body wash and a combo soap/conditioner for hair. Towels, washcloths big and fluffy soft. Hair dryer professional size. Beds comfortable and two pillows each, also nice. Small flat screen TV,

Dined most nights in Grand Pacific dining room, which is free-style, first come first serve, never waited long for table (four of us on this cruise). Lots of dinner choices from apps to desserts and pleased with all the food we had and service great. Buffets on deck 12 in Garden Café, Great Outdoors wonderful - everything you can think of to eat whether breakfast, lunch or dinner. Seating is a little daunting but overflow to great outdoors or out by pool area. Last day in NYC there was no seating for breakfast up there (people must have got up real early and sat til debarkment) .. Ate at Blue Lagoon on deck 8 above atrium which has a limited menu but open 24hrs. Last night we ate at Moderno ($20 per person extra) and was so much fun and good food/service. Salad bar among the best we have seen. Serve side dishes on tray in middle of table and then fun starts. Chefs bring out large skewers with variety of chicken, steaks, ribs etc. and not all at one....they just keep coming and coming til you say that's it. Try the coconut flan!

A bit smaller then inside cabins on Carnival and Holland but was laid out nicely, all furnishings great, comfy bed, pillow, linens, down comforter.. Lots of closet , shelves, drawers. About 12 hangers. Safe in closet. Small flat screen TV, table and chair two bedside tables. Soap dispensers with hand soap, body wash, combo shampoo/conditioner. Professional size hair dryer. Close to elevator, down two decks right to Grand Pacific Dining room, up 3 decks right to Buffets and pool. Don't get if you have problems with no window or small places. We had no problem as others have said, not in room too much! Our steward, Arie, was great and efficient. There is a little wheel outside your door to put Make Up Room, Turn down Room, Do Not Disturb.
