We had always been loyal to another cruise line.. but it was becoming tired and very predictable...and so we thought that we'd try Celebrity.
Wow! An amazing experience with friendly (really friendly) staff and crew, a fabulous ship (Where did they hide all of the other passengers?) and an interesting selection of ports.
We have booked our next Celebrity cruise already! Venice to Venice via Turkey 23rd August 2015.
The food and drink: great speciality dining, especially the Tuscan Grill and Muranos. Be warned that the wines are expensive ---but it's an amazing wine list.
No problems with the other eating places that we tried: the main dining room, the deck grill and the room service food were all fine.
Entertainment: we don't do shows but we really liked the two classical guitarists, the reggae band and Distrikt. One ---hey guys, I really enjoyed dancing to your music!
The concierge for Michael's Club, Anca, was outstanding! A one in a million! If she's your concierge, you are so lucky!
The captain was charming and so amusing. We dined with him and also met him later on on the cruise.
Thanks to the officers and crew for the Cruise Critic gathering one morning. We enjoyed meeting one another and sharing memories of our cruising.
A good bedroom with a proper door. The lounge area was fine ---lots of cupboard and drawer space.TVs in bedroom and lounge. The bathroom was okay ----although I prefer to have a separate shower cubicle rather than one over the bath.Outside, there was a table with 4 chairs and there was also a huge lounger. 75% of the balcony is totally private. Good views.Peter our butler and Andrew our steward were really helpful.
