I booked the cruise after several family members told me of their wonderful cruise experiences. How disappointed I was. Firstly, may I say how good all the staff were, especially the buffet staff. I felt however really let down by the lack of entertainment facilities. There was only one pool table, one table tennis table and one sports court , ( which is supposed to cater for basketball, cricket, tennis, and football ),which for over 3000 passengers is totally inadequate. I am 61 but dont think I am over the hill yet, but the evening entertainment seemed to be for the over 80's . The seas screen was good but the choice of films seemed to be aimed at middle aged women. I found myself watching my own films on my laptop and would have gone mad had I not taken it. Almost everything interesting was chargeable and you could rack up some nasty extra costs from sheer boredom .

Now some good points. The tour team were really good ,especially Sam. Her talks were informative and persuaded me to take more tours which I had not previously planned. All the tours were well organised with knowledgeable guides . The restaurant staff were pleasant , efficient and helpful and the food on the whole was great, BUT, ice cream was extra .

Cabin Review

Inside Stateroom

Cabin OC

The room was comfortable and quiet and was near the buffet restaurant , 3 decks up. The mattress was stained but looked as though it had been steam cleaned to remove the worst of whatever was on it. There was a smell of urine which I thought was my fault but after cleaning the toilet myself the smell persisted and was only removed on the last but one day when the steward used bleach. These were the only negatives.
