Ok so this was my first cruise ever but it truly was amazing. Embarkation took about 30 minutes (we started around 12). We toured the ship a bit and went to eat in the Windjammer. It was busy but no problems getting a table for six. We didn't check for our room until after 1 and it was ready when we did. The superior stateroom with a balcony would be perfect for 2 adults - unfortunately there were 3 of us and it was crowded. Not enough space for all of our stuff. Thank goodness for the balcony and for our room attendant Floyd !! There is always something to do on this ship, besides the pools, bars, shows, and restaurants. The zip line, rock climbing, table tennis, basketball court, library, card/game room, casino, etc. The extra's were fun, we enjoyed the sexiest man in the world contest, the belly flop contest, the trivia competitions, and took advantage of the flash sales on the promenade - a bit of a frenzy here but most times worth it. I have no complaints about the food, the MDR was excellent, Windjammer very convenient, some of my group enjoyed the boardwalk dog and the donuts as well as Johnny Rockets for Hamburgers. Giovannis Table is well worth the extra $25 make sure you go there HUNGRY, it's a lot of food and was fun to try everything, our waiter Alexo was wonderful!

There is only one thing I have to complain about - the cost of the photos - I'm pretty sure you're target market here is not the working class from the Atlantic provinces. This is very unfair - $140 for 10 photos is ridiculous so we were unable to buy any of them and there were some really nice ones. RC needs to change this - you can keep your expensive packages but make something affordable for all classes of cruisers - not just those from more affluent areas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The pools were small so we chose our times there carefully for early morning or late evening to avoid the crowds and enjoyed a hot tub or two as well. We had no problem finding a seat at any time of the day, as long as you could stand the heat - that Caribbean weather is a lot more hot and humid than NS.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D3

There were 3 of us in this room and it was definitely crowded. Luckily we didn't spend much time in there and we tried to get ready in shifts whenever possible. The closet by the bed is very inconvenient. And it was impossible to keep the room tidy because there just wasn't enough room for all of our stuff. Thank goodness for the balcony! We had 3 rooms together for our group and requested the balcony dividers be removed - very convenient for visiting/borrowing someone else's shower ;-) The room would have been fine for just 2 people. Our room attendant - Floyd was very sweet and helpful.
