...now don't get me wrong: I shop at Walmart. It's a great value, convenient and you know exactly what you are getting. However, if I want better quality meat or fresh produce, I go to a better store. Walmart is Walmart. They don't pretend to be anything else.

The Carnival Sunshine is promoted as a recently renovated and improved ship. For all the hype, I found that it did not meet many expectations.

We were upgraded to a Cloud 9 balcony room. I'm not sure what exactly makes a Cloud 9 cabin any better. We were located in room 11026, 11th deck. The room was standard Carnival but the stains on the carpet, drapes and headboard were less than standard. All in all, a bit shabby.

Cabin Review

Cabin 8

This is a Cloud 9 balcony cabin on deck 11. I'm not certain what qualifies a Cloud 9 cabin. Sounds swanky, right? The room is standard size, amenities include small bottles of spa promoted items (though we had an unusual combination of 2 hair conditioners, 1 body spray and a shower gel. No shampoo, no body lotion?) you also get slippers. The room itself was a bit shabby with stains on the carpet, drapes and headboard. Gross. It was quiet, being on the 11th deck but the elevators were deathly slow and more often then not, passengers could be seen huffing and puffing up the stairs rather than waiting. My advise: save your money a and don't bother with the more expensive Cloud 9 cabin. Not worth it..
