We are a couple in our late 50's and seasoned cruisers. We have cruised domestically and internationally including a transatlantic and three European cruises. We've enjoyed cruising with Princess, Celebrity, RCCL, MSC, HAL, NCL and Carnival and loved our recent cruise on the Carnival Liberty. The itinerary and the CruiseCritic ratings are what lead us to booking this cruise and we were pleasantly surprised that we did. Our first sail from Port Canaveral, we found it was much easier than other larger FL ports. Fast embarkation and same on the return.

A couple of incidents that really didn't effect us at all, first off our captain informed us that we had to do a reverse itinerary because of a hurricane brewing and on our first sea day we turned around to rescue 11 Cuban refugees in a small raft. Both were handled with ease, compassion and professionalism. Actually the rescue was exciting and we had a great view of it from the hot tub at the very top of the ship on the Serenity adult spa deck, which was our favorite spot on the ship!

Cabin: Balcony # 9233 was comfortable bed & pillows, roomy with nice shower.
