My husband and I have been sailing with carnival for several years . This was our 7 Th. cruise and we have always enjoyed are sail, until July 10 2014 of this year . We sailed on the inspiration two years ago . We booked are cruise with our / their personal vacation planner Who is always so helpful, joyful & remembers are likes , dislikes ,dinner times , cabin preference and so on ....... I will miss her . The port of long beach is very busy all the time. We knew this so booked a room at Best Western in Long Beach spent the night ,left are car in their garage . They have a shuttle bus , this makes it fast and easy . When trip is over give them a call and they pick you up & Take you to your car . It only cost $30.00 . We have used this service four times and have always received great service . Check in took about 45 minutes . This is normal wait time again it is a very busy port . The staff were polite and full of energy.

To our surprise a crew member from a precious cruise ( Leland ) remembered us . When we entered the lido deck to get a drink and check out the buffet line . Leland and others were line dancing on deck . He got so excited he ran across the deck to say hello . Wow that my friends this is customer service . He not only remembered our names . He remembered my children's names and ask us how my daughter was doing in collage . I think I will miss Leland even more....... It has taken me two months to calm down . It truly is a shame that one dishonest employee can destroy seven years of great memory's . Our first night on board the people in the room next door where fighting . When I went to the front desk and reported it they Immediately sent security and there was no longer an issue . We had a wonderful fun trip . Fun sun and my hubby it was great .....

The problem didn't start until disembarkation. We decided to carry our luggage off early . We had friends traveling and decided to ride with them to Best Western . We were staying in the San Diego area a few more days . After checking into our hotel in San Diego (Best Western ) I noticed my iPod touch was missing from my purse . After searching for over an hour I called customer care and reported it missing . Honestly I don't know if someone had removed it from my purse or I left it on the table in my stateroom . Customer care assured me that if I had left it in my stateroom the steward would turn it in . They explained they would send it to Miami and then they would match it to the lost and found report and contact me . They explained that I would have to pay any postage for return . They also said this would take 30 days . After returning home , work . On July 14 I changed pass words to my iCloud account . find my iPod for some reason would not work . I thought maybe the battery had died and was in the belly of the ship . After three weeks I called customer care again hoping to hear good news . This is were the story turns side ways . Not only did the lady tell me no . She started to giggle "did you think someone would turn it in ? "Maybe I should explain a little further . I use my iPod every day not just for music . I don't like cell phones . My iPad and iPod are always on . I only email because of hearing loss . This was very important to me . My iPod had not only important work information but also personal . On August 9, 2014 my husband went out and purchased me a new iPod ( wanting me to be mobile again ) after synching with my iCloud account I received a notice form just cloud . What's this pictures of the thief ! !!!!!!! Not only is it pictures of the the thief but it's a carnival employee ! Better yet a carnival employee on July 10 and July 12 taking pictures of herself , in uniform with name tag !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Funny not so much ........... So I called customer care back again . It was not a pleasant conversation . After 30 minutes of me screaming they again assured me . They would take care of the issue and someone would contact me for fallow up . Oh could I please forward the pictured to them ? I did receive a email from a supervisor - customer care sorry about the situation ? I'll have our security team start looking into this immediately . I'll be in touch soon . This email was dated august 12 2014 . REALLY I I still waiting for answers ............did call my husband on August 14 , she told him their security team solved my problem ? Carnival would send me monies for my new iPod and would return my stolen iPod . I did receive a check for $213.00 . I have also received a few little extra bonuses !
