First of all, this was our first cruise, ever! So, our comments may be somewhat tainted by the novelty of be a 'cruiser'.
The embarkation process went relatively smoothly, in spite of the best efforts of the passengers to make it otherwise. I was dumbfounded by their rude, pushy behavior. Mary, an NCL staffer who acted as traffic cop, tried to keep things moving smoothly and received considerable abuse for her attempts. Even so, we were in our cabin in about 45 minutes from when we pulled up in our taxi.
Keeping in mind that we had nothing to compared it with, we were extremely happy with our stateroom. First of all, it was immaculate. Hats off to Mr. Ping, our steward, who took such good care of 11604 (and us) for the entire cruise. We found the storage facilities met our needs, which is pretty remarkable since we are over-packers. With the suitcases stuffed under the bed, we had lots of room. BTW, our luggage didn't find us until about 5 p.m., giving some worry in the meantime. Not sure if this is a general NCL problem, or a 'one-off' situation.
